Job Description
|
Take full ownership on Zend’s headquarters infrastructure and maintain the production website datacenter. That includes user maintenance for Windows and Linux users, implementation of company policies on data security, back-up, software installations and licensing, installation of servers and workstations and setup and maintenance of network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Maintain, evaluate and troubleshoot the servers that support our systems. This position requires a high level of expertise and experience in the support of a multi-platform corporate infrastructure.
Major responsibilities include monitoring the day to day operation of the servers, as well as but not limited to maintaining the OS and related software to ensure stable performance.
Monitoring usage statistics, maintaining system security server logs, modifying configuration logs, backing up the systems, host builds, virus protection, and inventory.
Work with staff to schedule time to apply security updates, patches, installations, and application testing to ensure systems continues to run efficiently.
Take part in the Global IT team to ensure site to site connectivity and corporate systems (email, DNS, VPN, WAN).
Required:
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Application and Servers) products.
Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux.
Excellent knowledge of installation, configuration and maintenance of desktops and servers hardware.
Thorough understanding of LAN and WAN technologies.
Strong experience with Internet servers and protocols (Apache, FTP servers, mail, DNS, SSH, OpenSSL, VPN, IPTables, MySQL).
UNIX\Linux Scripting.
The ability to work independently and as part of a cross functional team and successfully handle multiple tasks in a dynamic professional environment while under pressure.
Excellent organizational skills with regards to keeping track of account details, asset inventory, etc...
Possess good communication skills and strong customer service skills
Self learning skills and the desire to know more.
Desired:
Experience with firewall configuration and management (Cisco, IPtables).
Strong understanding skills in security and networking.
Understanding of CVS and SVN.
Experience with high-volume datasets and MySQL backup and replication.
Monitoring tools such as Nagio, Cacti, Gomez, etc.
Knowledge and Use of Zend products such as Zend Platform.
